🛒 Ingredients
For the crust
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cubed

- 6 tbsp ice water
For the filling
- 6 large apples (Granny Smith + Honeycrisp mix recommended)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
For the caramel glaze
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup heavy cream

Make the pie crust

Combine flour, butter, and salt in a bowl. Mix until crumbly.

Add ice water gradually until dough comes together. Chill for 30 minutes.

Prepare the apple filling

Peel, core, and slice apples. Toss with sugars, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In a skillet, melt butter and cook the apples until softened and lightly caramelized.

Roll and assemble

Roll out chilled dough. Place one crust in a pie dish, add filling, and cover with the second crust (or lattice style).

Seal edges, cut vents, and brush with egg wash.
